First Coach Qualifies using virtual technology!
Congratulations to Rosemary Westcott from Surrey, who today completed her assessment using a live video feed from her home green being watched (and recorded!) by two independent assessors.
On hearing the news, Rosemary said:
'I feel very proud to be the first person to pass the assessment via Zoom. The session went surprisingly smoothly. On reflection, I think it was actually less daunting than having an examiner standing nearby, continuously jotting down notes! I quickly forgot I was being examined and was able to enjoy the session. Surely this has to be the way forward for the future.'
Amanda Scriven-Purcell, the Coaching Manager said:
‘This was an important day for Bowls Coaching. We have proved that the use of technology in the assessment of coaches is not only possible, but also a positive experience for the coaches involved! We look forward to giving this new opportunity to more coaches.’
Rosemary now looks forward to using her skills on the green in the sunshine (and rain) for the rest of the season.
