Adult Safeguarding In Bowls

This module is aimed at those clubs who have predominately adult only members.

It focuses on ensuring Club Safeguarding Officers/Volunteers understand their role in safeguarding adults and in particular those adults who may be at risk. Bowls Safeguarding Steering Group is comprised of Bowls England, English Indoor Bowling Association Ltd, British Crown Green Bowling Association, English Short Mat Bowling Association, English Bowling Federation and Bowls Development Alliance with support from the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit.

Course Overview:

Bowls Safeguarding Steering group has developed a range of templates and useful documents for clubs with guidance on how to recruit personnel safely and details of local groups who can provide support at Club, County and National level.

Bowls Safeguarding Steering group also includes information on good practice, together with details on the process to be followed if a situation arises and advice and support is needed.
