The training will help clubs to improve safety whilst increasing awareness of their members and volunteers.
The purpose of this training is to equip clubs, existing bowlers, coaches and volunteers with basic knowledge, information, and skills to provide first aid. The course is open to anyone aged 16+ and covers a range of skills that have been tailored to help cover the specifics of bowls, including open days, tournaments, coaching sessions etc.
You will receive practical, hands-on learning. The friendly trainers, who have all worked closely within Bowls, will help you learn skills that everyone should know.
What is covered on the First Aid Training:
- unresponsive – breathing.
- unresponsive – not breathing (cardiopulmonary resuscitation – CPR)
- seizures
- burns
- bleeding heavily
- broken bones, strains, and sprains
- choking
- heart attack
- stroke
- dealing with an emergency
You will receive a First Aid workbook full of helpful advice as well as a certificate of learning.
MG Training & Events has provided first aid cover for Bowls England at the National and World Visually Impaired Championships as well as numerous football tournaments and equestrian events.
